Telephone_interviewing_2The Foundation has conducted Omnibus or multi-client surveys for over 20 years. Our current survey program which includes:

  • quarterly surveys in the Hunter Region (March, June, September and December)
  • six-monthly surveys in the Central Coast (March and September)
  • six-monthly surveys in the Upper Hunter (June and December)

Omnibus surveys are very cost-effective market research tools. They survey a representative sample of the population within a quick timeframe. A number of clients can ‘climb on board’ the same survey and share set-up and running costs, while maintaining confidentiality in their questions and reporting. The HVRF achieves consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and enviable response rates.

How might your organisation benefit from using our Omnibus Survey?

  • Find out how or where people have heard of your organisation, product or service (i.e. how effective is your advertising campaign?)
  • Clarify perceptions of your organisation, product or service in the marketplace
  • Measure how your organisation ‘stacks up’ against your major competitors
  • Collect benchmarking or longitudinal information over several surveys

Our household omnibus survey specifications:

  • 300 telephone interviews are conducted with residents aged 18 years & over
  • Sampling ensures a representative population sample in each region
  • Demographic information is collected for sex, age and household size
  • Assistance with question design and interpretation of the results is included
  • Our experienced project manager and telephone interviewers ensure all projects are high quality, accurate and independent
  • Survey results are provided in a compact report (both hard copy & electronic) including an executive summary and detailed tables of results

Business Omnibus Surveys

The Foundation also conducts regular surveys of businesses in the Hunter, Upper Hunter and Central Coast. These are conducted at the same time as the household surveys. The surveys are used to gauge business perceptions of the local economy, current and anticipated business performance as well as a range of broader issues such as the use of computers and the internet.
