Bequest Program
Making a gift to the Hunter Valley Research Foundation (HVRF) in your Will is a meaningful way to contribute to:
- The future research needs of Newcastle and the Hunter Region; and
- The insightful understanding of the Region necessary to support social, environmental and economic sustainability and development.
Making a bequest allows you to retain full use of your assets during your lifetime with the knowledge that you will one day contribute to HVRF with a lasting legacy. Bequests are a significant way members of the community can ensure the continuation of the strategic thought and understanding needed to enhance our capacity to deal with the challenges of the future.
We welcome your consideration of supporting the HVRF through our bequest program. In doing so, you can join our Chairman’s Club and have your personal commitment recognised in your lifetime. Your generous contribution will help HVRF to resource future research projects, introduce scholarships, provide the staffing, equipment and maintenance needed for the Foundation’s operations, and empower the development and expansion of the Foundation necessary to meet future needs.
Writing a Will is a very personal matter and involves decisions that need to be informed and comfortable for the person making them. Listed above are some links to other pages on our website that can help you consider this form of giving. It is recommended that you obtain expert advice from a legal practitioner to ensure that your Will is correctly worded and consistent with your wishes. Depending on your circumstances, you may also need financial planning advice before making a decision about the distribution of property in your Will.
