Building Fund Appeal
In September 2011 the Hunter Valley Research Foundation received $698,000 to expand the capacity of its Maryville Research Centre. Awarded through the Federal Government Regional Development Australia Fund in the initial round of funding the HVRF was one of only two projects supported in the Hunter.

The RDA funding, and previous contributions received through our building fund over the past 12 months, will allow the HVRF to commence building work in February 2012.
Our ageing buildings (Hunter Building circa 1957 and Macquarie Building circa 1969) will be refurbished to include a new focus on the HVRF Library and public enquiry areas to improve accessibility, and the co-location of telephone interviewing booths with researchers to enhance interaction and quality control.
